Beautiful early '60's Japanese Whitehall four piece drum kit, red sparkle finish. Whitehall was an import company that later evolved into Pearl. The shells are Phillipine mahogany, which gives the toms and bass drum a very resonant, boomy sound. There is a rail consolette mount for the 9X13" rack tom, very similar to a Ludwig "Ringo" type, and there is a handy shell mount cymbal stand, with the actual stand included. The chrome on the kit is excellent, no oxidation, and the finish is a rich ruby red with zero fade! The kick drum is 14X22" and the floor tom is 16X16", the most standard sizes, for a big rock sound. There is a 5X14" wood snare drum included, an eight lug drum, very similar to a Ludwig Jazz Festival. The drums all have internal mufflers and these work fine. All in all, it's an outstanding vintage kit, ready to play, perfect for a retro '60's style band, surf, or any rock or jazz group!

Pearl PEARL-SLINGERLAND USED DRUM KIT

PEARL Export series drum kit, five piece kit, 12, 13, 16, 16X22, Ferrari red finish. These are the very early 'mid '80's Exports which are the same shells as Stewart Copeland's Police kit, the Tama Imperialstars, and are very good sounding shells. These drums have a lot of bite and attack and are equipped with upgraded heads. Pearl's "Power" sized toms from this period are square, so the upper rack tom is a 12X12". They have tonal quality and resonance that you would find in a much more expensive kit. This kit also includes two late '70's Slingerland "power" toms in 8" and 10" sizes, and the Slingerlands are even longer, from the Magnum series made famous by Bev Bevan from ELO and Black Sabbath, and Joey Stefko of Meatloaf! The Slingerlands have been refinished in the same red color and match well. They come with a separate floor standing tom stand, from the '70's Slingerland Magnum series, a very stout stand that still looks new! There are no cymbals included with the kit, we'll be glad to assist you in selecting some from our fabulous selection of Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian, and Bosphorus! The snare is a 6.5X14" Pearl Export steel, with a solid high end crack, touch and sensitivity. This kit is ready to rock!
